Financial Markets Institute Pty Ltd which is also known as FMI is a South African private company that’s registered with the companies and intellectual property commission (CIPC). FMI was established in 2024 by Mr S Gwala who is South Africa’s best retail trader under 30 with over ten years of experience in the financial markets. A lot of close friends of Mr S Gwala got to witness his success over the years and soon developed an interest to learn how to trade. He slowly started teaching a few friends casually in his lounge and it soon started consuming so much of his time that he soon realised that he needs to setup a company that focuses on helping South Africas. That’s how FMI was born in 2024, he has been working extremely hard to build a competent team that will provide excellent customer service to all members of the Financial Markets Institute. The reality is that there is a surge in the number of non-professional traders (retail traders) who purchase assets such as stocks, bonds, currencies, commodities through brokerage firms. However, it’s been proven that majority of retail traders enter the financial markets with little to no knowledge of how to invest and build a profitable portfolio. The sole purpose of FMI’s existence is to educate and empower its members with knowledge and mentorship that will help them to become profitable and consistent retail traders.
